The Gunn award for excellence in restoration from the City of Waukesha Landmarks Commission will be awarded at 7:30p.m. on Tuesday at the Common Council meeting at City Hall. The award will be going to WPA members Jane and Mark Barrett fortheir work on the Elihu Enos house at 517 Madison Street.
The house sat empty for years and fell into disrepair. They took this once beautiful house that was on the brink of being lost back to its former glory. The historic tax credits for residential properties were utilized and they managed to meet the strict deadlines that the bank imposed on them.
Congratulations and Good job Mark and Jane!
