Waukesha Preservation Alliance, along with many other partner organizations, is proud to host Historic Preservation Days Saturday, May 7th, 18th and 19th, 2019. This annual event brings local history to life for all ages. Saturday’s events include historic walking tours of Downtown Waukesha, the Nelson House and Wisconsin Ave. Historic District, as well as walking tours of the Carroll University and College Avenue Historic District. This annual event brings local history to life for all ages. Farewell Architect George W. Gunn, Jr.

Architect George Gunn, who donated his time to the Landmarks Commission many years ago has died. The City named an award after him, because of his contribution to historic preservation in this city. He also was the architect who designed St. Mary’s church which was recently deemed potentially eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. Our sympathy goes out to the Gunn family.
