Waukesha Preservation Alliance, along with many other partner organizations, is proud to host Historic Preservation Days Saturday, May 21st through Wednesday, May 25th, 2016.
This annual event brings local history to life for all ages. Saturday’s events include historic walking tours of Downtown Waukesha, as well as walkings tours of the historic Arcadian Spring/Silurian Spring neighborhood. On Sunday, open houses of historic homes will be offered, including the Senator Blair House, Maj. J. R. Buchanan House, as well as the Dr. Nicely House. All events are free. On Wednesday, an informative presentation on the history of Latinos in Waukesha will be held.
A Historic Photo Scavenger Hunt Contest, where participants will search through the historic sections of our City to locate small details of buildings, will be available. Please note, only one entry per household. Submit all entries to the Waukesha Preservation Alliance information tent at the Antique Car Exhibit on Saturday on Saturday 5/21/2016, or mail to Waukesha Preservation Alliance, P.O. Box 1862, Waukesha, WI 53187. All entries must be received by 5/30/2015. All participants under the age of 18 must list the contact information of a legal guardian.
